The final cost depends on your specific circumstances, such as any additional cabling, solar inverter upgrades, switchboard upgrades, etc.

Reduce your bills, increase your independence
If you already have solar panels or you’re thinking about getting them, a home battery may help you get the most out of your solar system. Instead of sending excess energy back to the grid for a small credit, your battery stores it for when the sun isn’t shining – like in the evening when most households use the most electricity.
Batteries may significantly reduce your reliance on the grid, lower your energy bills, and offer backup power during blackouts (depending on your system – please talk with our supplier about backup power options).
💡 Already have solar? Batteries can be retrofitted to most existing systems. Our supplier will advise if you need a compatible inverter and potentially some electrical upgrades.

Most homes with solar panels may be suitable for a battery, but there are a few things to consider:
- Your energy usage (especially at night)
- Your solar system size, age and current inverter capabilities

Warranties
Both Sungrow and GoodWe batteries come with a 10-year product warranty. Both options come with a 7-year installation warranty.
